Twin Capes
The Delaware River and Bay Authority turned to the world's master ferry builders of Denmark for inspiration in building the MV Twin Capes ferry. Danish naval architects spent months designing the innovative features, safety systems and amenities. The public's overwhelmingly positive response inspired the DRBA to refurbish the entire fleet.
Cape May
The MV Cape May was totally refurbished and relaunched in the summer of 1998. Equipped with many of the same amenities and state-of-the-art safety features found on its sister ship, the MV Twin Capes, the Cape May shares the distinction of being the other "big boat" in the fleet.
Delaware
In 1996, the MV Delaware became the first vessel in the ferry fleet to undergo a major facelift. The vessel's resulting popularity helped set the stage for more dramatic refurbishments of its sister ships, the MV Twin Capes and Cape May.
